But some times they have to be moved.

Occasionally they may lay the eggs too close to the waters edge and
as the female never returns to hatch the egg, it is up to the volunteer
park rangers to move the newly laid eggs to higher ground,
rather than have them swept out to see on the next high tide.
As a visitor, you are shown all the activity and indeed allowed to
help in the transferring of the eggs, and of course this all happens late at night.
