Another visitor to Junee!

Don and Shirley we met back in 2005, when we had only been on the
road a couple of weeks, since then we have visited them on their farm in Queensland.

Jim’s sheep go wandering past the camp site

We spent a few weeks here and the local sheep got rather used
to us, in fact we where the official spotter for new lambs born!

Service time, changing tyres!

Went for a 20klm ride and got a puncture 50 mtrs from home !!

We meet Jim and Vyv.

Talk about good hosts, Jim and Vyv are the local farmers and invited us
over to their farm for a couple of yumee country cooked dinners.
I then offered in reply a campfire dinner. Amazing how the flames can
keep you warm with good company and wine.

Fishing expert Don and Doris drop in to Junee

We met Don and Doris a year ago in Tasmania, where Don gave me a
few tips on fishing. Ever since I have managed to feed the fish and not caught one !!

There is nothing like a good campfire

Alex and Judy drop in to Old Junee.

Ever since meeting Alex and Judy at Streaky Bay in December 2005,
we have kept in touch and crossed our paths, Alex has all these great ideas of
little jobs for me to do, like shade cloth screens, cooking on the camp oven and how to
store more STUFF in the car!!

Back at our camp the Galahs gave us a spectacular show.

This was a definite highlight with its sheer power, also seeing a Sabre in pieces made you
realise what was “inside” the workings.

The famous Temora airshow was on.

This is an amazing collection of aircraft that are serviced and are still flying bringing back memories with the Canberra bomber I worked on and the ever popular Spitfire.

While the record is over 2000 guitars played at the same time,
the humble town of Junee had a great time gathering there budding stars.

It’s actually the boiler from inside an engine.

It is a service centre for locomotives and carriages
with a turntable in the middle.

I just liked this out house.

Well lets face it, it has an open air feeling with a great view.
